Barracks Development
The old Police Barracks in Petrie Terrace, Brisbane was beyond its useful life as a barracks. QM Properties commissioned Biscoe Wilson Architects to design and document an adaptive re-use of the handsome three storey brick building into 20 boutique apartments (1 and 2 level) on the upper two levels with restaurant and specialist offices to the ground level. The design allowed the retention of internal loadbearing walls and many of the more significant heritage features.
