Elysium Recreation Club - Noosa

Biscoe Wilson Architects were engaged by AV Jennings in 2011 to undertake the design and documentation for a new community recreation club at the Elysium Noosa development on the Sunshine Coast. The linear design comprises two pavilions facing a man made lake. The pavilions contain entertainment and recreation functions for the residents of the exclusive housing estate.

Biscoe Wilson Architects are working on a number of projects on the Sunshine Coast, ranging from residential to industrial and resort architecture.

The building was designed using Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) principals. Features include both passive and active ESD devices including photovoltaics generating power for common area and building lighting. Water is harvested for irrigation and toilet flushing. Low embodied energy materials was selected.

Construction commenced in April 2012 and the building was completed in November 2012
