An 11 hectare mixed use precinct in an emerging suburb north of Brisbane. The precinct has been designed to incorporate a mix of offices, retail and medium density residential bounding a “High Street” with possible connection to a future transport station, (train and/or bus). The staged Transport Oriented Development (TOD) design allows expansion of the development towards the future station. The sloping terrain has been used to advantage by accommodating basement parking. An active streetscape has been designed to encourage pedestrian flow from a nearby regional shopping centre via the site and to the TOD. Sections of the site have been reserved to allow for flexibility in planning for future expansion.
Biscoe Wilson Architects were commissioned to develop a staged master plan by AV Jennings for an important site linking the Anzac Parade with a future rail/bus station and Halpine Lake. Biscoe Wilson achieved a successful development approval that enabled our client to later sell sections of the site. AV Jennings have retained some stages for construction of their own townhouses which were part of the overall approval.
