GoMA Competition
Biscoe Wilson Architects' competition entry for the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art proposed the continuation of the existing water mall from the adjoining Queensland Art Gallery into the new gallery. The water mall became a strong organisational device for the planning of the site and building. The competition entry proposed the re-connection of the water mall to the Brisbane River through a large 'river room' that in turn formed the main circulation spine for the new building.
