Biscoe Wilson Architects worked in association with Margaret Ward Architect on a new two level house on the Brisbane River at Indooroopilly.
The site sloped steeply down to the riverbank and town planning and environmental restrictions limited the building site to a small level pad at the top of the site. The house was designed for returning expatriates who had a young family.
The radial geometry was fragmented to provide segmentation of the various programme spaces. An elegant swimming pool was carved into the top of the hill below the ground floor.
The client was transferred overseas before construction commenced.
