Biscoe Wilson Architects worked in association with Margaret Ward Architect on an alteration and addition to a high set timber house at the Grange in Brisbane.
The house was located in a character protection and demolition control precinct, therefore it was necessary to modify the existing house to suit the new owners' requirements.
A contemporary solution in planning and elevational treatment was developed. This design philosophy enabled a new architectural organisation to open up the conventional floor plan. Light weight sheet materials with a level of modern detail relate to the timber and tin vernacular.
