McDowall State School
Biscoe Wilson was commissioned to design an eight General Learning Area (GLA) building as part of the Building the Education Revolution Program. A three level building incorporating northern facing general learning areas on the upper two levels and covered undercroft to the ground level. Generous outdoor learning areas were developed to the north of the GLA’s. Classrooms are single room thickness to promote natural lighting and ventilation. Practical learning areas are incorporated into each GLA.
