Biscoe Wilson was commissioned to design and document a Covered Games Court and a Resource Centre as part of the Building the Education Revolution (BER) Program.
The school is one of the original schools in Bundaberg and some of the original structures are of cultural significance.
Our works included a new covered games area and creation of new library facilities within two of the existing heritage structures.
The new covered games court is a steel framed structure, placed on axis with the existing school building. Its roof form echoes and reinforces the original architecture and creates intimate courtyards between buildings.
The intervention within the existing structures was minimalist and insertions maintained the integrity of the existing structure and: cathedral ceiling spaces.
